Repoint 0.2.0 released

I have just released a new repoint release, version 0.2.0. Head to the repoint’s github project to get the executables for Linux and Windows. If you would like package for Mac OS please leave a comment and I will add it as well.

https://github.com/karolbe/repoint-r/releases/tag/v0.2.0

What’s new? Well, in the 0.1.0 version I have added a new dialog that shows ACL in a nice and readable way:Selection_059The feature is available from the right click menu from the tree and also from the DQL results viewer. In future this feature will also allow editing of ACLs.

In 0.2.0 I have added one more feature that I had on my TODO list since forever

Selection_058

It is now possible to add a docbroker and a docbase from that docbroker without need to edit dfc.properties. You can still use dfc.properties, but if need to quickly connect to a different docbase which is not in your dfc.properties then now it is possible 🙂

If you have ideas, bug reports etc. please use github or comments below to let me know

  1. Hi,

This is very nice efforts & DCTM users must be grateful for the same.

I’ve tried Repoint 0.2.0 & observer “config” folder is need to be created at path
plugins\com.documentum.dfc_0.1.0.201602291959\config . One error message is prompted for this when we try to update DFC configuration.

Also it failed to display available docbases projected to the docbroker mentioned in the dfc.properties file. It gives following error. looks like dfc.data.dir path is hardcoded somewhere that is creating issue on Windows.

    !ENTRY org.eclipse.ui 4 0 2016-04-13 16:59:56.959
    !MESSAGE Unhandled event loop exception

  2. Does it supports DFC 7.2 and content server 7.2?
I have some problems with original repoint 2.5. When I dump object which has TBO it does not work, dump never appears. I just see progress bar for ages. If I connect the same repoint to Content Server 6.7 everything is fine. I tried to put DFC7.2 inside Repoint, but it did not help.

    Is this issue fixed?

Also is there any plans to add execution of many DQL statements from *.dql file?

  3. Hi, I have downloaded Repoint 0.2.0 but after update DFC configuration, I have a lot of errors :-/
Could not create the view: com/documentum/fc/common/DfException on Repository Browser,
“Could not create the view: Plug-in “com.documentum.devprog.eclipsePlugin” was unable to instantiate class “com.documentum.devprog.eclipse.types.TypeView” on Type Tree,
so it can’t create any view…and I have stopped Repoint, delete the workspace folder, restart it and it the same thing.
Actually I have Java 1.8.0_91-b14 on Windows 7.
Can you help me please? Best regards.

  4. Hi, it’s ok for Repoint, my dfc.jar was corrupted.
The only problem who I have is the dfc.properties, it seems to be not OK for Repoint 0.2.0. If I want to add a Repository, “Add External Docbase”, I can’t see any docbases on the list :-/

  5. I’m back, so I just need to click on “OK” at the right of docbroker: to show all the repositories of dfc.properties…it’s not clear but it works.
So I see my repositories on Repository Browser, but if I click on “Login / Change Login”, I enter my login and password (no domain used), I click on OK but…it does nothing.
